Royal Ascot racing results LIVE on day three featuring the Ascot Gold Cup

We’re here for day three of Royal Ascot with Stradivarius back in town attempting to win his fourth Group One Ascot Gold Cup (4.20) under Frankie Dettori.

Not only will he have to beat Irish hot pot Kyprios, Stradivarius will also have to put right an under-par fourth place in last years’ race, an event in which Antony Mullins’ flying-grey Princess Zoe was over three lengths ahead when runner-up. Our tipster Garry Owen has her down as his NAP of the day.

The Queen will also hope to raise the roof with short-priced favourite Reach For The Moon running in the Hampton Court Stakes (5.35). A highly-talented juvenile with wins at Sandown and Newbury and a second at last year’s Royal Ascot, he was fancied to a win a Classic this year before injury intervened. Saga (5.00) and Tactical (6.10) also hold live chances of winning in the royal colours in other heats.

We kick off with the Norfolk Stakes (2.30) for speedy two year-olds with David Loughnane’s Walbank one of the best backed horses of the day. Secret State will bid to lead home the three year-olds in the King George V Stakes (3.05) Classic-winning trainer Charlie Appleby ’s yard, while six go to post in a select but competitive Ribblesdale Stakes with Baeed’s winning trainer William Haggas saddling the favourite Sea Silk Road (3.40.)

We’ll also attempt to find the winners of the two thirty runner cavalry charges - the Britannia Stakes (5.00) and the Buckingham Palace Stakes (6.10.)

You can follow every furlong right here in our LIVE blog that includes every horse racing result of the day plus all the best tips and market movers from the track.
