Royal Ascot News: Young pretender Kyprios to take it to Stradivarius in Gold Cup

Aidan O'Brien's Kyprios is a relatively new kid on the block in the staying scene and his co-owners Moyglare Stud can't wait for a crack at the great Stradivarius and Trueshan in the Ascot Gold Cup on June 16.

Kyprios is a general second-favourite between Trueshan and triple Gold Cup winner Stradivarius for the two miles, four furlong event at Royal Ascot.

Of course, Stradivarius laid down a marker that he was nowhere near retiring by beating Search For A Song in the Yorkshire Cup last week and Craig admits the Gosden's old warrior is still a mighty foe.
