Roy Keane says Nottingham Forest can be proud but momentary lapse cost them
Nottingham Forest favourite Roy Keane believes his former club should be "proud" of their FA Cup quarter-final performance against Liverpool.
After suffering a heartbreaking 1-0 loss at the City Ground, Keane gushed over his former club. He admitted the Reds were "slightly unlucky" to lose inside 90 minutes.
Keane is right in saying Forest fans should be proud of their team. The performance also earned plaudits from Liverpool supporters.
Keane said: "They should be proud. I think Forest in the second half may feel slightly unlucky.
"They had one or two moments, but all the fans ask is the players give their all, and they did tonight. I think Forest were slightly unlucky to be fair."
On the Liverpool goal, Keane explained: "Jack (Colback) gets caught out there. Jack is not really a left-back and when he is playing defensively he is normally playing in a back five with wing-backs, it is just his lack of experience as a defender that eventually found him out."
