Roy Keane's reaction to Phil Foden calling Micah Richards 'world-class' will always be comical

Micah Richards and Roy Keane have developed perhaps the most unlikely bromance in football.

The two couldn’t be any more alike.

Richards is a jovial and loud character who always has a smile on his face.

Keane is the complete opposite. He seems to be always serious and very rarely laughs.

But he has changed a lot since Richards made the transition from a footballer to a pundit and they began working alongside each other on Sky Sports.

The duo get on like a house on fire and have been involved in numerous classic moments in the past few years.

When they are working together they always seem to produce TV gold.

And one moment they produced gold came back in November 2020 when they were working alongside each other for Liverpool’s trip to the Etihad Stadium to play Manchester City.

Phil Foden was in the process of establishing himself as one of the very best players in the Premier League and he spoke to the media before the game.

In his interview, he spoke of his admiration for Micah Richards, dubbing him ‘world-class’.

“He was one of my idols,” he said, per Joe.co.uk. “He was one of the best right-backs in the world at the time. It was just a shame he had one or two injuries.”

Keane is a big fan of Foden and he was complimentary of how he spoke. But he wasn’t going to let him calling Richards ‘world-class’ slide. Watch the moment below…
