Roy Keane roasts Micah Richards over Jordan Pickford 'top keeper' claim as Man United legend cuts him down to size

Roy Keane has taken aim at Micah Richards over his claim that Jordan Pickford is a "top goalkeeper".

The former Manchester United captain did not hold back in his criticism of the England and Everton number one when analysing his performance today. Everton, who are currently just outside the relegation zone, were thumped 3-0 by Pep Guardiola's Manchester City at Goodison today thanks to a double from İlkay Gündoğan and a first half headed striker from Erling Haaland.

City are now four points ahead of Arsenal ahead of Mikel Arteta's sides game against Brighton and Hove Albion at the Emirates. Gündoğan got the third goal for City with a free-kick from around 20 yards out. Keane was quick to criticise Pickford for his attempt to save the effort saying he had "no spring" or anticipation. In between the German's goals Haaland scored his almost mandatory goal to make it 52 for the season, with former Everton centre-forward Dixie Dean's record of 63 still realistically within his reach.

Speaking on Sky Sports after the game, Keane said: "Pickford for the goal my goodness looks so small in there, there’s no spring, he’s not anticipating. Micah said before the game he’s a top goalkeeper, he’s not."
