Roy Keane had Ian Wright cracking up with his response to Sir Alex Ferguson’s 2013 autobiography

That Roy Keane and Sir Alex Ferguson still haven’t patched things up since falling out in 2005 is hugely unfortunate.

Both are obviously bonafide Manchester United legends who will forever occupy a special place in the hearts of every fan.

Keane is arguably the greatest captain in United’s history, a born winner who rose the standards of every player around him from 1993 until his abrupt departure 12 years later.

Ferguson, meanwhile, is considered by many as the greatest manager of all time and is unquestionably one of the most important individuals in United’s 144-year history.

Without each other, they may not have enjoyed such extraordinarily successful careers.

Because they’re similar characters in many ways, perhaps it’s inevitable how things would end between Keane and Ferguson.

But if they were ever willing to let bygones be bygones, shake hands and move on, it’s fair to say that every United supporter would be overjoyed.

However, the relationship between the two men was left further strained after Ferguson released his controversial 2013 autobiography.

Addressing the infamous MUTV interview that contributed towards Ferguson’s decision to offload Keane, Ferguson wrote, per the Manchester Evening News: “It was unbelievable. He slaughtered everyone. Darren Fletcher got it, Alan Smith. [Edwin] van der Sar. Roy was taking them all down.

“I told him ‘What you did in that interview was a disgrace, a joke. Criticising your teammates and wanting that to go out.’

“Roy’s suggestion was that we should show the video to the players and let them decide.
