Roy Keane contacted by I'm A Celeb as Man Utd icon asked if he as a price

Roy Keane gave a telling response when asked how much it would take for him to appear on I’m A Celebrity.

The Manchester United legend has been invited to appear on long-running ITV show and hasn’t completely ruled out entering the Australian jungle one day. One of the Keane’s colleagues on The Overlap’s Stick to Football show, Jill Scott, won I'm A Celebrity in 2022.

During a recent live edition of Stick to Football in Manchester, Keane was quizzed about the chances of him going on. The chat started with Scott discussing the financial incentive of going on the show, although the former Manchester City Women’s star refused to give a figure.

The crowd was then asked by Gary Neville if they would like to see Keane enter the jungle, a question which was met with a loud chorus of “yes!”. Keane said he wasn’t for him but when Jamie Carragher asked if he had a fee in mind, the Sky Sports pundit replied smiling: “Of course.”

Asked if he had been asked to go onto the show, Keane said: “I think everyone has been asked. It’s not a big drama being asked, I don’t get a buzz out of that.”

He added: “I don’t think it’s for me, no. I like to think I’m open to new adventures, whatever, but the jungle…”

He then turned to Ian Wright, who appeared on I’m a Celebrity in 2019, and said: “You didn’t enjoy it, did you Wrighty?”. The Arsenal legend said: “I didn’t, Roy, but the money was good!”

Discussing her experience in the Jungle, Scott expanded: “I was eating goat testicles, walking planks. It was difficult though, it is hard.
