Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher in agreement over Liverpool's shortcomings

Former Premier League stars Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher have both agreed on Liverpool's shortcomings, as both pundits feel as though the Reds can achieve more over the next few years.

Liverpool and Manchester City have been a level above the rest of the Premier League competition over the last few seasons, but Carragher believes they haven't won as much as they should have. They could go one step closer to winning their second ever Premier League title with a win against City at the Etihad, and the Citizens stand in their way in the FA Cup semi-final too.

Although it is City that have dominated domestically over the last five years, Keane agreed that Liverpool should have won more. And has even admitted that Jurgen Klopp's squad is now stronger than Pep Guardiola's as the two pundits were in agreeance over Liverpool's rise.

Speaking ahead of Liverpool's clash against City, Carragher said: "Yeah, you can talk about points, numbers. They're stats and whether you win the league or whether you win cups.

"But I made a comment about two or three months ago that this Liverpool team haven't won enough for how good of a team they are. It wasn't a criticism, this is one of the best teams I think we've seen in the Premier League, but they haven't won enough.

"And wasn't in terms of they have to win another Premier League or Champions League, it was actually picking domestic cups up as well. So when you look at what Manchester City or Chelsea have done over the last 10 years, even when they don't win the league they still win the FA Cup or they still win the Carabao Cup.
