Rory McIlroy just about joins Seamus Power in making Wells Fargo Championship cut
Rory McIlroy and Seamus Power made the cut at the Wells Fargo Championship but Shane Lowry's tournament is over.
McIlroy scraped through to the weekend by the narrowest of margins after a second-round 73 left him on one under, just on the right side of the cut mark.
It was a challenging Friday for the three-time winner of the event with just two birdies and four bogeys.
Power was two shots further ahead after his second round on the Charlotte, North Carolina course. He is on three under after a 70 which keeps the Waterford man five shots off the lead.
But Lowry bowed out with his second 72 of the tournament leaving him two over and three shots outside the cut.
US pair Nate Lashley and Wyndham Clark share a one-shot lead with England's Tyrrell Hatton on eight under.
There is a six-way tie for fourth right behind that trio, including major winners Justin Thomas and Adam Scott.
