Rory McIlroy holds his nerve to claim the spoils at the DP World Tour Championship

Rory McIlroy has won the DP World Tour Championship and with it a sixth Race to Dubai crown of his career.

In the end McIlroy, on 15 under, had two shots to spare over Denmark's Rasmus Hojgaard, who in September just got the better of the Hollywood native to win the Irish Open.

Shane Lowry, after a closing 68, shared third spot on 11 under. The other Irish competitor, Tom McKibbin, was joint 11th on eight under after he shot 72.
