Ronaldo, Messi, Modric: The legendary XI that are set to play last World Cup in Qatar

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are both set to play in their last World Cup in Qatar.

The legendary duo will be 37-years-old and 35-years-old respectively when the tournament kicks off in November.

Messi has come closet to winning the trophy before.

The PSG star was brilliant during the 2014 World Cup but his Argentina side narrowly missed out on lifting the trophy as they were beaten in extra-time by Germany in the final.

LB: Jordi Alba (Age when 2022 World Cup starts: 33)

Alba was not part of Spain’s World Cup winning side in 2010. It’s very likely that the Qatar World Cup will be his last chance to lift the trophy.

CB: Jose Fonte (Age when 2022 World Cup starts: 38)

Fonte will be 41 when the 2026 World Cup kicks off. There’s very little chance he’ll still be playing.

CB: Pepe (Age when 2022 World Cup starts: 39)

Pepe is just one year shy of his 40th birthday but continues to play at a very high level. He’s played 124 times and counting for Portugal.

RB: Dani Alves (Age when 2022 World Cup starts: 39)

It’s testament to how good Alves st
