Ronaldo hits back at Rooney suggestion over Man Utd future

Cristiano Ronaldo has called Wayne Rooney “jealous” after his former team-mates suggested that Man Utd should look to move him on in the summer.

The Red Devils signed Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane in the summer transfer window with many expecting those transfers to propel Man Utd closer to challenging for the Premier League title.

However, it has not gone according to plan this season with Ralf Rangnick’s side looking increasingly likely to miss out on the top four.
