Romelu Lukaku has been left angered by claims that he is prepared to quit Chelsea and return to Inter this summer.

The Belgian striker became the most expensive player in Chelsea's history when they spent £97million to secure his signature from the Italian champions last summer.

The 28-year-old has found the net just 11 times in 31 appearances for the Blues this season in his second spell with the club, having originally left Stamford Bridge permanently in 2014.

Having gone on to have spells with Everton and Manchester United, it was in Italy with Inter which the striker truly found his top form with 64 goals across the space of two seasons.

As recently reported by Mirror Football, Lukaku has no intention of leaving Stamford Bridge at present and wants to stay and fight for his place at the Champions League holders.

The Belgian was widely recognised as the best player in Serie A last season where he spearheaded the Milanese club's first league title in 11 years.

Yet he has not replicated this success at the Blues and the striker hit a low point last month, as he had just seven touches across 90 minutes against Crystal Palace in the Premier League – where he has netted just five goals this campaign.
