Roman Reigns: Interesting story about the first time top WWE star was pinned

Roman Reigns is now one the biggest star in all of wrestling, reigning as the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

‘The Tribal Chief’ hasn’t been pinned on WWE TV since December 2019, a frankly incredible run that proves how well protect he’s been.

But speaking of Roman and being pinned, fans have uncovered who the first person to pin Roman in WWE was, and it makes for interesting reading.

Roman arrived on the main roster as part of The Shield in November 2012, and the group was very well protected right from the outset.

In fact, Roman wasn’t pinned on WWE TV for nearly a year, with his first pinfall loss coming on the September 23 episode of Raw in 2013.

And who was the first person to pin him, you ask?

Well… none other than Roman’s cousin and fellow Bloodline member, Jey Uso.

Fans picked up on the interesting fact, noting that WWE could do something very interesting considering Jey and Roman’s involvement in the company’s top faction right now.

As you can see below, fans really found the fact to be quite interesting, with some even saying that it serves as a reason for why Jey should be the man to eventually dethrone Reigns.

As noted, a portion of fans are of the belief that Roman Reigns should eventually be beaten by Jey Uso, one of his first rivals after becoming ‘The Tribal Chief’ in 2020.

However, before we think about Reigns losing his belt, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion has to defend his title in Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel against Logan Paul on November 5.

Roman is expected to win the match, leading to an eventual showdown with his other cousin, The Rock, at WrestleMania 39.
