Roman Reigns, Edge, Becky Lynch: WWE Clash at the Castle matches that need happen

WWE Clash at the Castle is set to take place on Saturday September 3rd, from the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

It will be the first time WWE have hosted a stadium show in the UK since SummerSlam 1992 and fans have been flocking to ticket sites this week to get their hands on those precious tickets for the big event.

Amid all the excitement, GiveMeSport suggests six matches that should happen at Clash at the Castle.

Drew McIntyre vs. Roman Reigns

The big one. Drew has been campaigning for a UK stadium show ever since he became WWE Champion and was given a platform to speak on. The Scottish Warrior has played a huge part in getting Clash at the Castle to Wales and should be rewarded with the main event slot against WWE’s all-conquering champion.

The fact that McIntyre has been all over the promos for the event suggests he will be the focus and we’ve already seen reports that WWE are delaying his inevitable showdown with Reigns for a stadium show, with Cardiff being the most likely destination. The only individual who could throw a giant spanner in the plan is Tyson Fury, who’s having an on-going war of words with McIntyre and WWE could look to cash in on that and the UK flavour of the squabble by pitting them against each other in Cardiff.

Edge vs. Finn Balor

A big fan favourite and another big UK and Ireland based name is Finn Balor and you’d expect to see him given a big match on the card. Balor is currently involved in a battle against The Judgement Day alongside AJ Styles and Liv Morgan and set to face Edge, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley at Hell in a Cell.

If WWE can stretch the programme further, then something that merits a big stadium show would be the first one-on-one meeting between Hall of Famer Edge
