Roman Reigns' brutal response to Conor McGregor's disrespectful tweet is truly iconic

For years now, fans of both WWE and UFC have been clamouring to see Conor McGregor work for Vince McMahon.

Due to McGregor’s star power and undeniable charisma, many fans feel that he’d fit into the world of WWE like a glove.

However, back in 2016, McGregor and several WWE Superstars actually took part in a rather interesting war of words on social media.

At the time, McGregor was being asked in interviews about a potential move to WWE, and he took to Twitter afterwards, posting a savage tweet about the WWE roster.

I didn't mean no disrespect to the @wwe fans. What I meant to say was that I'd slap the head off your entire roster. And twice on Sunday's.

As you can see above, Conor said that he’d “slap the heads off” the entire WWE roster, and unsurprisingly, this didn’t go down too well.

Just like he is now, Roman Reigns was arguably WWE’s top star at the time, and he fired back at McGregor’s disrespectful tweet with a savage one of his own.

Reigns told McGregor to “shut up”, savagely clapping back at the UFC star by telling him that he’s the “size of [his] leg”.

Interestingly enough, Reigns wasn’t the only WWE Superstar to fire some shots back at McGregor, with former WWE Champion Chris Jericho also taking issue with his comments.

Jericho said his fights are legit before adding that he’d completely embarrass McGregor, as you can see below.

It’s been nearly six years since McGregor’s exchange with Roman and Jericho, and he’s still yet to appear in a WWE ring.
