Roma 1-0 Leicester: Fan crashed moped while trying to taunt Foxes fans
A bit of friendly rivalry between home and away fans is a much-loved part of the beautiful game. However, one Roma supporter got more than he bargained for on Thursday when he decided to goad a coach full of Leicester fans prior to the second leg of the Europa Conference League semi-final between the two sides.
It was a triumphant night for Jose Mourinho’s men at the Stadio Olimpico, as a Tammy Abraham goal was enough to give Roma a 1-0 win on the night – and a 2-1 victory on aggregate.
The result saw the Serie A outfit book their place in the competition’s first-ever final on May 25, where they will meet Feyenoord.
Many have questioned the worth of the Conference League over the course of its debut season. Leicester manager Brendon Rodgers even admitted he didn’t know the tournament when his Foxes side qualified for it after failing to qualify from their Europa League group last December.
Mourinho, though, was visibly moved when his men got the job done in front of a home crowd of more than 63,000, proving how badly he wanted to make the final.
One individual that was almost certainly not in attendance, however, was the Roma fan who spotted a coach full of visiting supporters on their way to the game and decided to start taunting them in the middle of a busy road.
Now, this wouldn’t be a particularly bright idea under any circumstances but it’s definitely a recipe for disaster if you happen to be driving a vehicle at the same time.
Footage, which has since gone viral on Twitter, captured the Roma fan hurling abuse at the Leicester contingent while driving his moped alongside the coach.
So invested is the supporter in insulting his English counterparts that he completely fails to notice that he is heading straight
