Rodri makes Man City title race prediction after Liverpool FC prove him right

It's fair to say Rodri has had an amazing year - he hasn't lost a single game with Manchester City and has five trophies to show for it.

Rodri is incredibly proud of this achievement. He told the Mirror: "Yeah, I've seen it. I think yesterday was one year, since the first of the victories. I'm very happy for that. It's a team sport so it's always about the team but I'm very happy for that.

He continued: "For me, last season was unbelievable. If you dream for a season, you dream how a season could be, how individual performances, collective performances, ups and downs in the season and we are like a family, like a team and how it finished is just a dream."

Rodri also spoke about the 'emotional' end to the season, with City landing a historic Treble. He said: "It finished so, so well. It was so emotional. We made history but the way we did it, with how much effort we made for all these years to arrive in this situation. Everything was perfect.

"Also with my national team and it was a remarkable year for me. I'm so happy for that. Yeah, of course it was my best year in every sense. In terms of individual performance, in terms of maturity in the game and the team with the players we brought in. It was everything."

However, the midfielder has warned that City face a tough task to repeat their successes this term, believing they are facing their toughest ever battle to win the title. City are trying for a fourth straight title but Rodri says the competition from their rivals like Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Aston Villa has never been greater and it will go to the wire.
