Rising Lyon star 'targeted' by Celtic as Rodgers offers glimpse inside talks with £7m man - Parkhead news bulletin

Celtic are said to be keen on a permanent deal in January for rising Lyon star Mahamadou Diawara, who is frustrated at his lack of gametime.

And they add that the idea of a permanent exit in January is 'gaining ground' - with Celtic well-placed to offer him more gametime than he is currently getting, albeit he would be far from first choice with the impressive midfield depth currently available to Rodgers. On Celtic's end, a six month loan with an option to buy appears the most likely scenario, especially since the France U19 cap still has three-and-a-half years to run on his deal.
