Rising left back, Barry Ogbolu, for Canadian elite division youth game

A leading professional football club in Canadian Premier League, Calvary FC, has invited defence ace, Barry Ogbolu, for Calvary FC Youth ID game.

Ogbolu, 15, is one of the rising stars in Canada, and plays for BTB Soccer Club.

A statement by Calvary North Development Manager, Sean Fleming, said the left back was invited due to his ongoing development and good work at his club.

He said the invitation was in line with the club’s continued growth as a professional football club and role in player development.

The statement reads:” Calvary FC is a leading professional football club playing within the Canadian Premier League, the highest level of professional club in the country. Part of our ongoing progression is to identify young players within Alberta.

“We would like to invite you into our Calvary FC Youth ID game for players within U15-U17 age groups.

As part of our continued growth as a professional football club and role in player development, we believe working alongside all clubs/academies in Alberta is key to provide the best possible pathway to our local youth athletes.

Due to your ongoing development and good work within your youth club, you have been identified and selected to attend an identification game on September 24.

“This will be part of the ongoing process of assessing and evaluating potential players for the opportunity to join our Calvary ID programe to be held at Forte Field Sunday evenings January to April, 2025.”

The invitation presents another opportunity for the 15-year-old, who recently helped his team to emerge the champions of annual provincial tournament in Canada.
