Rio Ferdinand reveals brutal prank to get back at former Manchester United youngster

Rio Ferdinand has revealed the brutal prank he played on Josh King in order to get back at the former Manchester United youngster.

The pair shared a dressing room during their time together at United, with Ferdinand one of the club’s senior professionals while King was making his way through the ranks as an academy graduate. The now-Watford striker though didn’t hesitate at the chance to play some pranks on his older team-mates.

One of his attempts though backfired on him spectacularly. Speaking on his Vibe With FIVE podcast, former defender Ferdinand revealed how he got his own back on the striker in brutal fashion at Carrington.

“One time, one of the young lads, Josh King it was, I just threw his clothes out on the drive to Carrington, all the way down, because he was a bit disrespectful," Ferdinand said.

“He came into the changing room and he thought it’d be cheeky and funny to move one of my trainers and hide them. I let him go out to training, I got all his clothes and his wash bag, drove down Carrington Lane, and every 50 yards I threw one piece of his clothes or his shoes out of the window. He never came into training to do that again.”

There were plenty of strong characters in the United dressing room at that time, and Ferdinand certainly did his part in laying down the law to King and the club’s other youngsters. While they might have been harsh, the former England international doesn’t regret his actions whatsoever.
