Rio Ferdinand lifts lid on Cristiano Ronaldo's immediate reaction to Wayne Rooney clash

Rio Ferdinand has finally lifted the lid on Cristiano Ronaldo's immediate reaction to a clash with Wayne Rooney during the 2006 World Cup quarter-final clash between England and Portugal.

Rooney has since admitted that he would have done the same thing as Ronaldo to push his side closer to victory, and even tried to get his opposite number in the book at one stage.

"There is no issue
