Rio Ferdinand and Gary Lineker are both in agreement that Thiago Silva has been a "ridiculous" investment for Chelsea.
The Brazilian defender is still performing at the peak of his powers despite being at the tail end of his career.
Silva, 37, has been a dominant force for Chelsea's backline since joining the club in the summer of 2020 with the centre-half helping the Blues secure a Champions League, Super Cup and a Club World Cup.
Silva stood out this past week as he helped Chelsea set a new record in the Champions League during their 2-0 win over Lille in the first leg of their last 16 clash
After keeping another clean sheet against the French side, the Blues are now the first English team in history to win five consecutive home matches without conceding a goal in Europe.

Silva then followed that display with an impressive performance against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final despite the fact his side came up short in the penalty shootout.
And Rio Ferdinand echoed Lineker's sentiments as the former
