Richarlison in Everton moment of madness as he throws smoke bomb back into Goodison Park stand during celebration

Richarlison sent Everton fans into raptures with his goal against Chelsea on Sunday afternoon – before appearing to lob a smoke bomb back into the Goodison Park stand.

With Burnley's shock rise back up the Premier League table the Toffees have found themselves in the relegation zone and knew they needed something against manager Frank Lampard's former side.

After a goalless first half the place was full of nervous energy.

But when Richarlison slotted passed Edouard Mendy just minutes after the restart it spelled pandemonium in the terraces.

A flare was thrown onto the playing surface and full of emotion the Brazilian picked it up and started waving it around.

And then, in a moment of madness, he appeared to fling it straight back into the stand.

The was a similar incident in Scotland this season when Leigh Griffiths, now of Falkirk, booted a flare into a stand housing St Johnstone fans while playing for Dundee.
