Ric Flair's final match: Charlotte Flair rejected insane spot from WWE legend's historic match

Ric Flair, at the age of 73, will be wrestling his final match on Sunday in Nashville.

The WWE Hall of Famer will be stepping into the ring for the final match with Jim Crockett promotions as he teams with Andrade El Idolo to take on Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal in tag team action.

The match is significant for a few reasons, not just because it’s the final match for one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.

The match is also the first between a WWE and AEW talent, with Andrade working for AEW and Jeff Jarrett serving as producer for WWE.

Fans are worried about Flair wrestling the match, especially considering how serious his health issues have been over the last couple of years.

However, the expectation is that he’s not going to be doing most of the work during the match, with it being thought that Ric will just play the hits and let Andrade wrestle the majority of the match.

The fear that fans have got was intensified after comments Charlotte Flair made this week, suggesting her father is wanting to do some crazy spots.

Speaking to ESPN, Charlotte said that her dad wanted to do a dive to the outside during the match, which she wasn’t happy with and said she didn’t want him to do:

“A lot of our men and women in all companies miss those all the time. I was like, ‘No, not needed, not necessary. Wasn’t necessary in your prime, isn’t necessary now. So, no.’”

Charlotte will be in Nashville for the match on Sunday, with it being unclear whether or not she’s going to appear on-screen or not.

WWE usually doesn’t let contracted talent appear on non-WWE shows, but due to the nature of the event, and the fact Vince McMahon is no longer in charge, that may be different this time around.

Charlotte Flair isn’t actually on WWE TV
