Rhasidat Adeleke adds to record-breaking week with 400m landmark
Just 24 hours after setting a new Irish women's 200m record, Rhasidat Adeleke set a new national 400m landmark at the Tom Jones Memorial Meeting in Florida.
In doing so, Adeleke broke the elite world-class barrier of 50 seconds for the first time in her burgeoning career.
She clocked 49.90 seconds in finishing second to the American Britton Wilson.
It has a been a memorable meet in Florida for the Tallaght talent after Friday's exploits when she lowered her own Irish 200m record to 22.34 at sea level.
The University of Texas star's best time outdoors prior to the Tom Jones Memorial was 22.59.
