Revealed - the top food traders that are heading to Manchester’s newest food hall

A host of top food traders are heading to the city’s newest food hall. Exhibition is all set to open on the site of Manchester’s old Natural History Museum next month, in the stately St George’s House on Museum Street.

Joining the project for its opening will be Brazilian, Manchester-based chef Caroline Martins, who’s appeared on The Great British Menu and is behind the Sao Paulo project in Ancoats. She’ll be launching the Sao Paulo Bistro, working with the likes of Platt Fields Market Garden, Dormouse Chocolates, Northern Cure and The Flat Baker for her produce.

Her menu will be a fusion of British and Brazilian influence, and will feature hand-dived scallops with a creamy cassava sauce, and a Sao Paulo steak sandwich made with Lancashire ribeye and Garstang blue sauce. She said: “From the first time I heard about Exhibition, I knew it was going to be a special, one-of-a-kind venue.

“While Manchester is already an incredible culinary destination, Exhibition is set to level-up the dining options in the centre of the city and become a real hotspot for anyone looking for delicious food with plenty of high quality drinks options in a stunning setting. Exhibition will be hard to beat for fans of fine food in Manchester."

Joining Caroline will be the team behind Osma in Prestwich, who will be launching their own concession. They’ll be concentrating on the Scandinavian-influenced menu that has seen their North Manchester bistro feature in the Michelin Guide.
