Resurgent Donegal see off Monaghan
Resurgent Donegal secured home advantage in the preliminary All-Ireland quarter-finals with a 0-19 to 0-17 Ulster derby win over Monaghan at O'Neills Healy Park.
Three points each from Daire O Baoill and Ciaran Thompson helped Donegal to a 0-13 to 0-9 interval lead, with Gary Mohan hitting three for Monaghan.
Oisin Gallen finished with five points as Tir Chonail pushed for home with fervour, with Jack McCarron top-scoring for the Farney men with five.
