Whilst there is not a lot of official information confirmed about the game, there are some leaks surrounding the Remake of the Gamecube classic.
There have been a number of re-releases of the game since the original version on GameCube, but this would be the first genuine Remake, should it go ahead.

Unfortunately, Capcom has not as of yet confirmed a release date for Resident Evil 4 Remake, nor have they confirmed that the game is in development.

According to an article from FanByte, Capcom is already looking at ways they can adjust Resident Evil 4 Remake so that it translates to modern-day hardware.
The site noted: “Capcom wants to adjust the tone of the remake into something spookier, taking direct inspiration from discarded Resident Evil 4 demos. That footage, which was used in early GameCube preview reels, featured Leon wandering a lonely castle, getting possessed by black smoke, and fighting off living dolls, as well as other ghostly manifestations.
“Some of this stuff made its way into the original game in other ways. Most of it, however, was left on the cutting room floor and direct comparisons are being made during the development of the remake.”
It was also revealed by FanByte that Capcom are also apparently looking at giving some side characters “bigger roles” in the Remake.
