Former Eagles’ HC Doug Pederson is being hired as the next head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, source tells ESPN.
Pederson spent five seasons as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles and led them to a title at Super Bowl LII.
The 54-year-old posted a 42-37-1 record with the Eagles, including a 13-3 mark in their 2017 championship season.
The Jaguars fired head coach Urban Meyer after 13 games in 2021, offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell served as the interim head coach.
Pederson takes over a team that went 3-14 last season and will have the first overall pick in the NFL Draft for the second consecutive year. Last year they selected quarterback Trevor Lawrence with the opening pick of the Draft.
