Remember Claudio Yacob, West Brom and Nottingham Forest fans? Here’s what he’s up to nowadays
Claudio Yacob won plenty of supporters over during his time in England with his no-nonsense approach to midfield play and his bravery in the challenge in the heat of battle in midfield.
The Argentine spent close to a decade playing football in this country, most notably with West Bromwich Albion where he made over 150 league appearances and spent plenty of time mixing it in the Premier League up against some of the best midfielders in world football.
His time in England did not end at the expiration of his Hawthorns contract, though, with him moving to Nottingham Forest in 2018, though he played far fewer games there and could not really force his way into the starting line-up.
In 2020, he left the City Ground and joined Nacional in Uruguay, before a spell in 2021 at Huracan in Argentina.
His late-career tour of South American sides isn’t over yet, though, with him now officially joining Rosario Central, another Argentinian club:
