Reds transfer news: Liverpool are 'seriously interested' in signing Jarrod Bowen
Transfer insider Dean Jones believes that Liverpool are “seriously interested” in signing Jarrod Bowen.
The West Ham winger has been one of the standout attacking players in the Premier League this season and has caught the attention of Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Bowen, who was described as a “genius” by Danny Gabbidon following a goal against Spurs before Christmas, enjoyed a decent first full campaign at the London Stadium, scoring eight goals and adding six assists in all competitions, but the former Hull City attacker has taken his game to another level this term.
Pretty much since this season got underway, Bowen has been relentless, and has shown few signs of letting up. In recent weeks, the 25-year-old has been in red-hot form quite significantly, directly contributing to 13 goals in West Ham’s last 13 Premier League games.
At times, Bowen has been single-headedly spearheading the Hammers attack. Overall, he’s scored 12 goals and chipped in with 11 assists, and has been the fourth-best attacker in the top-flight this season, behind Mohamed Salah, Bernardo Silva, and Kevin de Bruyne.
As a result, West Ham are expecting a bid from Liverpool this summer, despite the arrival of Luis Diaz in January and return to fitness of Harvey Elliott, with the Reds’ interest in the player dating back to July.
But With Salah and Sadio Mane both out of contract in the summer of 2023, Klopp is still hoping to bolster his attacking numbers ahead of next season.
He told GIVEMESPORT: “Maybe Jarrod Bowen is next on their radar and he’s somebody they’re seriously interested in.”
