Red Arrows flight route map and where you will be able to see them over Greater Manchester on Saturday

Aviation fans in Greater Manchester may be able to see the iconic Red Arrows overhead this weekend.

The aerobatic team will be taking part in the Blackpool Air show in Lancashire, and they will be visible in the skies. The Red Arrows, or The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, will be one of the highlights of the weekend.

With displays presenting speed, agility and precision for the tens of thousands in attendance, it will be something you don't want to miss.

The trademark diamond formation, will display a brand new nine-aircraft show, introducing never before seen manoeuvres. And if you are unfortunate to miss the fly-over event on the Saturday, audience will be able to catch them again on the Sunday.

The Red Arrows display at Blackpool's iconic seafront and will begin at 2:00pm, flying out with their display expected to last for around 20 minutes.

The aerobatic team will from Blackpool Airport, and will fly over Southport, as they make there way towards Bolton. Before turning for Blackburn and Preston, as they head to the seaside town for the airshow.

You can expect to spot them in Greater Manchester from 1:54pm flying over Standish, Horwich, before turning over Bottom O'Th'Moor.

After the show, the Red Arrows will fly back to Blackpool Airport where they will land before taking off for Edinburgh at 5:42pm.
