Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale looked awkward in dressing room after 3-2 win vs Sevilla
Gareth Bale was seen standing around awkwardly while the rest of his Real Madrid teammates celebrated a huge victory over Sevilla on Sunday night.
Los Blancos extended their lead over Barcelona and Sevilla to 15 points thanks to a dramatic comeback away at the Estadio Ramon Sánchez Pizjuan.
The home side raced into a 2-0 lead courtesy of first-half goals from Ivan Rakitic and Erik Lamela, but Carlo Ancelotti’s men fought back after half-time.
Rodrygo pulled a goal back shortly after the restart before Nacho equalised with just under 10 minutes of normal time remaining.
Then, in the second minute of stoppage time, Karim Benzema – who else? – popped up with the winning goal to complete the turnaround.
This was a priceless victory for Real Madrid, who will now almost certainly finish the 2021-22 season as champions of Spain.
Barcelona have two games in hand over their fierce rivals but it would take a capitulation of epic proportions for Madrid to slip up now.
Madrid’s jubilant squad celebrated passionately inside the away dressing at the Estadio Ramon Sánchez Pizjuan – with the exception of one player.
As the celebrations were filmed, Bale was seen standing around awkwardly while the rest of his teammates went wild.

It’s sad to see Bale, who has achieved so many during his time with Real Madrid, standing around looking lost after such a big victory.
The Wales international, who showed his class during last month’s international break by scoring a stunning free-kick against Austria, was an unused substitute against Sevilla and clearly couldn’t enjoy the moment fully.
