RB Leipzig stars unite in Celtic confidence surge as Marco Rose's video nasty tactic pays off

RB Leipzig stars Marcel Halstenberg and Xaver Schlager believe they are back in the groove ahead of their Champions League showdown with Celtic after sitting through a series of video nasties.

Rose's next task is to get their European campaign up and running - the Germans have lost both their opening fixtures to Shakhtar Donetsk and Real Madrid. Part of the manager's strategy has involved sitting his squad down to watch some of their recent displays to figure out what's been going wrong. "I made a big effort to link up with Timo Werner. We have played together before on the left wing and we work well together. We showed that we can score goals with energy, intensity and pressing. Marco Rose wants to bring the team closer together so that everyone stands up for everyone and win our individual battles.

"The difference from recently was that everyone demanded the ball. It was a very good performance. We won as a team and we need to continue this against Celtic."

And Leipzig 's Austrian international midfielder Schlager admitted they have received a huge injection of confidence before they play the Premiership champions. He said: "The manner of the win was very good and that gives us a lot of confidence
