Ravindra Jadeja's Cheeky Remark On Joining Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma In Elite List

Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja produced a match-winning show against Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The all-rounder bagged three important wickets for the Super Kings, earning them their third victory of the season. But, other than the ball, Jadeja also did wonders in the field and joined the elite company of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the list of players for 100 or more catches in the IPL history. Only four players in the history of the game, other than Jadeja, have managed to reach this milestone.

Jadeja is only behind the likes of Virat Kohli (110), Suresh Raina (109), Kieron Pollard (103) and Rohit Sharma (100) in the special club. Among other players who are set to enter the elite list is Shikhar Dhawan (98). When reminded of the record during the mid-innigns break against KKR, Jadeja had a cheeky remark.

"I don't count my catches," Jadeja cheekily said being informed of the milestone moment.

It was a Jadeja show throughout the first innings as he pushed KKR's back against the wall with a sensational spell and his remarkable effort in the field on Monday.

Jadeja completed two catches and claimed three wickets which played a crucial role in restricting KKR to a sub-par score of 137/9.

With the two catches, Jadeja became just the fourth player to complete 100 catches as a fielder. On the very first ball of KKR's innings, Jadeja took a sharp catch to dismiss Philip Salt for a golden duck.

In the 20th over, Jadeja took a comfortable catch at deep mid-wicket after KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer miscued his shot.
