Rasmus Hojlund sends brilliant two-word message to Jack Fletcher after starlet named in Man United squad

Rasmus Hojlund has poked fun at teammate Jack Fletcher after the youngster took to social media to share his delight at being named in the Manchester United matchday squad on Saturday.

Fletcher was a surprise inclusion at Old Trafford at the weekend, with Erik ten Hag confirming before the game that Toby Collyer had picked up an injury so Fletcher had been drafted in.

The 17-year-old didn't make his senior debut against the Bees but he was still delighted to gain the experience of a Premier League matchday.

Taking to social media after the game, Fletcher posted: "Great win and an unreal experience."

Plenty of Fletcher's teammates, both past and present, were quick to congratulate the youngster, though Hojlund took a slightly different approach. "Show off," he wrote in reply alongside a laughing-face emoji.

United saw out a 2-1 victory on Saturday having trailed through Ethan Pinnock's strike late in the first half.

Fletcher was joined on the bench by fellow youngster Ethan Wheatley. Wheatley made his senior debut for United last season and in doing so became the 250th academy graduate to make an appearance for the first team.

Ten Hag did not give any specific details on the injury Collyer had picked up but Fletcher will be hoping to be handed more opportunities in the matchday squad over the coming weeks.

Should Fletcher make an appearance for the first team he will become the 252nd academy player to debut for the club after Collyer became the 251st when he came off the bench in the Community Shield against Manchester City in August.
