Rashford reveals two keys to training under Ten Hag at Man Utd in ‘fresh’ start

Marcus Rashford says there is a “buzz” around the Manchester United training ground as the players get used to the “fresh” ideas under new manager Erik ten Hag.

The United players not involved in the summer internationals returned to Carrington for pre-season trainng this week to experience life under Ten Hag for the first time following the Dutch manager’s arrival at the club.

And Rashford says those players are already getting used to Ten Hag’s “principles” as they also focus on enjoying themselves ahead of the new campaign.

“We have got that feeling of excitement and that buzz around the training ground again and so it is definitely positive going into pre-season,” Rashford told MUTV.

“It is just about, one, getting the principles right of how Erik wants us to play and the details, and, two, enjoying it. In the first week of training we have done both and everyone is looking forward to going on the tour and putting what we have done in training into the first games.”

United endured their worst ever Premier League season last term, finishing sixth and missing out on Champions League football.

And Rashford was one of many players to struggle, first under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and then under Ralf Rangnick, who took interim charge.

The striker believes a “fresh” approach on the training ground under Ten Hag can benefit those who struggled.
