Manchester United: Fan footage of 'Erik ten Hag ball' in full swing vs Crystal Palace

The Erik ten Hag era at Manchester United is already in full swing.

While it might only be pre-season, the battered Manchester United faithful are already liking what they see with Ten Hag’s side showing some very encouraging signs.

They dispatched Liverpool 4-0 in a friendly and have displayed some scintillating football in the games that have followed.

Clips of Ten Hag reading the riot act to his players on the training pitch have also caught the eye, with particular footage of him laying into Zidane Iqbal doing the rounds on social media.

After years of mediocrity and false dawns, fans will be desperately hoping that Ten Hag is the man to restore former glories.

While there is obviously much work to be done, the early signs are good, with so-called ‘Ten Hag ball’ quickly capturing the imagination of United’s swathes of fans.

It was on full display against Crystal Palace, especially when Marcus Rashford casually finished off a lovely team move from a cheeky Donny van de Beek assist.

Jadon Sancho even got in on the act, racing clear to sweep home after a ruthlessly incisive move played him on goal.

Now, that very move is doing the rounds on Twitter, but this time, from the perspective of the fans who were watching on from the stands.

The video, captioned, ‘Ten Hag ball from this angle is beautiful’, shows the move from behind United’s goal as they efficiently flood forward and, in a matter of seconds, spring Sancho free into the space.
