Raphael Varane 'would snub Saudi Pro League transfer' and other Manchester United rumours
Manchester United centre-back Raphael Varane is reportedly unconvinced about moving to the Saudi Pro League if an offer is submitted for him.
In recent weeks Varane has been out of favour at Old Trafford. Erik ten Hag has opted to choose Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans ahead of the Frenchman.
When questioned about this, Ten Hag has denied there is a rift and claimed the decision is just tactical. MEN Sport understands the Dutchman wants to sign a new centre-back but will need to sell one first to make room. This has led to speculation Varane is potentially on the chopping block.

However, according to The Athletic, Varane is not so desperate for playing time that he would jump at a chance to move to the Middle East. The 30-year-old's contract at the Theatre of Dreams expires in 2025 but United may wish to cash in on him sooner.
Another club reportedly interested in Varane is Bayern Munich. According to FCB Inside, their manager Thomas Tuchel is likely to push for a deal after witnessing his talents when he was Chelsea boss.
A move could be completed in January and it is claimed this would be a 'win-win' for all parties involved. It is understood in Germany a fee of between £21m and £26m could be enough to lure United to sell but there is a sticking point.
Varane's wages are described as an 'issue' for Bayern who would likely request him to take a wage cut. Likewise, the defender's injury record is thought to be of concern and will prevent the Bavarian club from spending big money on his salary.
