AFC Wimbledon suffered a further setback in their bid for survival last weekend as they conceded a late draw against arch-rivals MK Dons, a real kick in the teeth for the Wombles.

Under the stewardship of Mark Bowen though, there are promising signs and he will be hoping to guide his side away from the relegation zone after managing to do so with Reading during the 2019/20 campaign.

They may not be far adrift of 20th but with the games running out thick and fast, a spot in League Two beckons unless they can start translating bright moments to a sufficient points return.

Many would argue the departure of Joe Pigott has played a part in their demise but the relegation battlers’ fans will still be disappointed after making a promising start to this season.
