Rangnick may ‘turn his back on’ Man Utd as he ‘negotiates’ another job
According to reports, Ralf Rangnick may ‘turn his back on’ Manchester United this summer as he has met with a national team’s director.
The German has been United’s interim manager since the start of December. A plan was put in place for him to take up a consultancy role this summer.
Rangnick and United’s players have reportedly been at odds over his potential successor.

On the pitch, Man Utd’s performances have not improved too much following Rangnick’s appointment. They currently sit seventh in the Premier League and they have exited every cup competition.

Kurier (via Sport Witness) are reporting that Austria’s sporting director (Peter Schöttel) has ‘negotiated’ with Rangnick.
Austria are on the lookout for a new manager. Franco Foda stepped down earlier this month as they were beaten by Wales in the World Cup play offs.
The report suggests that Schöttel has flown to Manchester to speak with Rangnick.
Kurier add that contact has been ‘established’ between Rangnick and Austria’s representatives:
