'Rangnick is going to adore him!' - Man United and Birmingham fans react to Tahith Chong goal

Manchester United and Birmingham City fans have been singing Tahith Chong's praises after he made a goalscoring return following an injury.

In his first start for the Blues since October after he suffered a groin injury, Chong made his presence felt. Striking the ball on the turn he sent the Birmingham fans into raptures at Ashton Gate.

Things soon went from bad to worse for Bristol City as Nico Gordon added a second for Lee Bowyer's men after just 13 minutes. However, all the talk among Reds fans is about Chong.

Before today, Chong had played just 14 Championship matches including a brief 25-minute cameo at home to Huddersfield Town last time out. The 22-year-old is on loan at St Andrews until the end of the season but his future after this campaign is not so clear.

His contract at Old Trafford expires in the summer and it is unknown if he will be offered a new deal. Ralf Rangnick has previously said that he had not spoken to any of the out-of-contract players about new deals.

Chong's goal this afternoon may well help his case for a new contract. Take a look at how fans have reacted below.
