'Rangnick hurting us' - Man United fans react to Cristiano Ronaldo Chelsea transfer claims

Manchester United fans have been reacting following the latest reports regarding Chelsea's interest in striker Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo, who informed United at the beginning of pre-season that he wished to leave Old Trafford should a 'reasonable offer' be received, has started on the bench in the club's last two matches - both of which United have won.

While it appears unlikely that the former Real Madrid man will secure a move away from United this summer, the Portuguese international is still keen on leaving in search of Champions League football.

Ronaldo has reportedly attracted interest from a number of clubs this summer, however, no side has yet made a concreate offer to sign the 37-year-old.

Chelsea were one of the clubs said to be in for Ronaldo, but the London outfit eventually decided not to sign him following talks between manager Thomas Tuchel and club co-owner Todd Boehly.

According to the Times, former United interim manager Ralf Rangnick advised Tuchel to not sign the veteran forward.

The report claims that Boehly was keen on signing Ronaldo as he liked the idea of building the attack around him. However, Tuchel rejected the opportunity on the advice of Rangnick, who managed Ronaldo last season.

Erik ten Hag has insisted Ronaldo remains in his plans and that he is not for sale - despite him starting just one league game so far this season.
