Rangnick has done a good job at Manchester United, says Ferdinand
Rio Ferdinand has leapt to the defence of Ralf Rangnick and believes he has done a good job as Manchester United interim manager.
The Red Devils have collected 25 points from his 12 games in charge, with seven wins, four draws and one defeat, as well as a penalty shootout defeat by Middlesbrough in the FA Cup.
United have moved up to the fourth in the Premier League ahead of a tricky run of fixtures in March including Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham.
Off the field issues continue to cast a shadow over the club with rumours of player unrest, and questions over training and the coaches.
However, former United centre-back Ferdinand has defended Rangnick's record, insisting that the German is doing a good job at Old Trafford.
'There's a real Debbie Downer on Rangnick and Man United at the moment,' Ferdinand told the Vibe With Five podcast.
'Yes, I think the fixture list while he's been there has been quite favourable to Man United, but only Man City have picked up more points since he's come in.
