The Premier Sports Cup takes centre stage this weekend with the quarter final ties.

But there is one Scottish Premiership game taking place with Dundee hosting Livingston.

Simon Murray has given the Dark Blues the lead at half time. And it is of interest to Rangers because victory would see Steven Pressley's men jump above the Light Blues in the table, leaving Russell Martin's second from bottom.

Rangers could go rock bottom if Aberdeen win one of their two games by a three goal margin - or take four points from the two games - before the Light Blues next play in the league, away to Livingston on September 28.

Rangers and Hibs will hope their name is in the hat for Sunday's semi final draw.

The draw for the Premier Sports Cup semi-final will take place on Sunday, September 21.

It will be conducted immediately after Partick Thistle host Celtic in the last eight, which has a 3.30pm
