Rangers v Ross County falls victim to Storm Gerrit
The cinch Premiership meeting between Rangers and Ross County scheduled for Wednesday night has been postponed due to the weather.
Storm Gerrit has brought adverse weather to Scotland, with snowfall in some areas and several flood warnings in place.
The situation means that Ross County are unable to make the journey from Dingwall in the north Highlands down to Glasgow.
"Despite the Ibrox playing surface being in good condition and ready to host the match, adverse weather conditions on the A9 means our visitors have been unable to reach Glasgow," said Rangers in a statement. "A new date for the fixture will be confirmed in due course."
A win over Ross County would have moved Rangers to within two points of rivals Celtic at the top of the table, ahead of the Old Firm derby on Saturday.
Celtic beat Dundee 3-0 on St Stephen's Day, with Republic of Ireland international Mikey Johnston scoring a brace after coming off the bench late on.
