Rangers transfer update as Turkish left-back 'eyed up' as potential Ibrox addition

Rangers could make a move for Besiktas left-back Ridvan Yilmaz, according to a report.

The highly-rated 21-year-old has developed through the youth ranks at the Turkish side and is already a full international with six senior caps to his name. He made his top team debut for the club in April 2019 and was part of the side that tasted league glory in the 2020-21 season. He joins John Souttar, Antonio Colak, Tom Lawrence Rabbi Matondo and Tillman in joining Van Bronckhorst's side this summer.

Davies has put pen to paper on a four-year deal at Ibrox. He didn't make a senior appearance at Liverpool after his switch from Preston. He spent last season on loan at Sheffield United.

Despite not featuring for his top team, Jurgen Klopp hailed Rangers' capture of the stopper and labelled the move as 'smart recruitment'

He said: "It’s a smart piece of recruitment from Giovanni van Bronckhorst."

"Perfect for all parties. He
