Rangers squad revealed as double injury boost hiding amid Lawrence and Roofe gloom

Rangers welcome Kilmarnock to Ibrox today hoping to close the gap on Celtic before Ange Postecoglou's men visit St Mirren on Sunday lunchtime.

Gers boss Michael Beale will be looking to pick his team up after they lost the Viaplay Cup final against the Parkead clup last Sunday at Hampden. The Light Blues are currently nine points behind Celtic at the top of the cinch Premiership but with a win today they will narrow the gap to six. Former Rangers midfielder Derek McInnes brings his Killie side to Ibrox hoping to upset the odds as they attempt to put further distance between themselves and Dundee United at the bottom of the table. A win for the Ayrshire outfit ahead of the 6pm kick-off tonight between the Arabs and Aberdeen would put a seven-point gap between them.

Beale still has some injury worries in his squad heading into the game but he'll be boosted by the return of John Souttar after his ankle surgery. Fellow long-term absentee Ridvan Yilmaz (hamstring) could be back in contention next week and Rabbi Matondo (knee) has returned to training. Tom Lawrence (heel), Steven Davis (knee) and Filip Helander (foot) remain out while loan defender James Sands has returned to New York City

Kilmarnock, on the other hand, will be without striker Kyle Vassell who is serving the second of a two-game suspension and loan defender Lewis Mayo is unable to play against his parent club. Liam Donnelly (knee) is touch and go but Ben Chrisene (knee) and Innes Cameron (hamstring) remain out.
