Rangers see Malik Tillman agreement with Bayern 'rejected' but game remains ON to land loan star

A report in Germany claims Rangers' have had their existing loan to buy option to sign Malik Tillman rejected by Bayern Munich.

It's widely understood Michael Beale's men retained a £5m purchase option for the USA international after his eye-catching year in Glasgow. But now leading publication Kicker claim the old terms are off the table for a player attracting significant interest from Premier League pair Brighton and Brentford.

The 21-year-old landed in several teams of the year for his displays in Glasgow but there was an acceptance among the Ibrox support he still had room to grow with several misses in the biggest games before a hamstring injury in the Scottish Cup semi final defeat to Celtic ended his season. But the same outlet claims the game is not up for the chasing pack, however, a fee in excess of the original agreement may be a challenge for a Rangers squad in rebuild mode with four new faces already in the door.

Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling, Jack Butland and Sam Lammers are on board and more will arrive after a host of familiar faces excited. But it remains up in the air if Tillman is to follow.
